A healthy mind creates a healthy body.  How you think affects how you feel, which is directly linked to your microbiota in your colon.  Everyone has stress in their life, but not mitigating stress can have adverse affects on your body. 


Stress increases cortisol levels, and prolonged elevations, especially from chronic disease, can lead to adrenal fatigue.  The symptoms of adrenal fatigue include difficultly falling asleep and waking up, fatigue, dizziness, headache, decreased appetite, salt and sugar cravings and weight gain.  Do these symptoms sound familiar?


In addressing the mind I focus on mitigating stress, improving thought processing, reframing negative thoughts into positive thoughts and improving sleep.  I improve your brain-gut axis


A healthy body fends off disease, illness, and pain.  LEAKY GUT is the cause of most, if not all, disease.  ONLY 3% of diseases are purely genetic, which means you control 97% of what happens to you.  This is antithetical to what you have heard, or you have been told at the doctor's office.  What this means is that 97% of things that happen to your body are a direct result of your actions and what you eat.  But now you know, and knowledge is power.  You are in control of what happens to you and your body.   


EVERYTHING that goes on in your body stems back to or is ROOTED in the health of your digestive tract from depression and coronary artery disease to acne and irritable bowel syndrome.  Leaky gut syndrome creates cracks in the lining of the gastrointestinal tract, your colon, which then allows partially undigested proteins to enter your blood.  These undigested proteins are mistaken by your body, which then begins to turn against itself.  This is the root cause of all autoimmune diseases. 

I create bio-individualized meal plans that adapt to your lifestyle and culture.  If you do not want to give up meat, I will help mitigate the affects that meat has on your body.  I do the work for you so that you can focus on living well and what is important to you.  


In addressing the body I focus on healthful eating, exercise promotion and nutrition so that you can live your best life. 


Eating well is not the only part of being well.  Who you surround yourself with matters as much as eating well.  A healthy spirit creates a better sense of self, and helps to center you in a crazy world. 


Centering yourself can also be done simply by performing deep breathing exercises 3 to 4 times a day for 1 to 2 minutes at a time.  This little investment pays huge dividends.  I will teach you how to breathe deeply and to stimulate your vagus nerve.   


It does not matter what you eat if your body cannot break down the nutrients into their simplest form, and then absorb them.  Deep breathing not only centers you but improves the digestion process.
